Popping out of 5th is a sure sign of either one of two things.

The 1st is lack of transmission fluid. When did you last change it? I would suggest first getting underneath there and checking for obvious leaks. Your oil seal around the CV joint could be bad. Replacing that is only a matter of a few dollars. Do the flush first and drive it, checking to see how it runs.

The only other experience that I've had with the transmission popping out of gear is synchronizers. If that is the case, it is time for either a rebuild or new transmission.

We have to know the year of the car to tell you exactly what will fit.

86-89: any 86-89 Integra trans
90-93: any cable B-series trans
94-01: any hydrolic B-series trans

The head is not important, the block is. The trans connects to the side of the block, and the head sits on top of the block.

You can bolt in any 92+ JDM Civic B-series trans, a del Sol VTEC trans, a 99-00 Civic Si trans, or any 94+ Integra trans. Anything from a second generation B16A, B16A3, B18B1, B18C, B18C1, B18C3, B18C5 (,B16A2?)
