Are you supposed to reset your ECU after installing an aftermarket intake? If so, why?

I've heard that the ECU slowly adapts to the new intake system, also if you reset the ECU, the car iwll act weird for a bit, so it might be a hassle, but dont take my word on this.

No, resetting the ECU for your new intake won't do anything. Sure the motor will recieve more airflow, but not enough to throw the air/fuel ratio off scale enough to get the ECU looking.

its short ram, cold air?
short ram mades your VTEC pops louder, sounds hella good, but IMO, I still would go with cold air, like AEM V2. for short ram, I heard ICE Man, AEM, K&N, Comptech, Injen is pretty good short rams..
