I received some help from a generous Honda-Tech member, so the replacement window didn't cost me too much

I had called around to get some estimates, they ranged from $90-$170. The higher cost being for OEM replacement glass.

yeah, you're lucky man. i had an 01 black itr and it was vandalized like crazy. kicked twice, front and rear seats along with mats stolen, a guy ran a stop sign and hit my front end. i mean damn, i felt as though the car was cursed. i wanted to spend little money on it, but i couldn't enjoy the car anymore cuz so many things were happening to it. i finally sold it, and now i'm just chillin waitin for something else to spark my interest. it would be nice if i could find a championship white one, then i would probably get it. we'll see though.
you're lucky.

Mugen Mike - Sorry to hear about your car and glad you still have it. At one point when I lived in an apartment I was looking at getting a boot lock to go with my the Viper Alarm (3 sirens/back up battery), Club, and Auto Lock. I figured if they tried to move it, the boot lock would tear up the pavement (and the car), while make lots of noise. Luckly I can park her in my garage now.

Capt. Type R - I know the feeling my car got keyed 4 times in 11 months, never had her repainted because it was always on the back end of the passenger side and insurance would not paint entire car and I was worried it would happen again as soon as I got her back. I still have her and plan to keep her forever.

Yeah, hopefully some day I will meet with a dc2 type R again. she's like my "eleanor" (from Gone in 60 Seconds). no matter how many times i have her, something always goes wrong. i loved that car, but it was bringing me more grief than enjoyment. i'll tell you this much, everytime i got behind the wheel of that car, i was in another world. good that you're keeping your car. as for me, one day i will meet her again, oh yes, i will have one again.

No offense meant, but you guys are crazy to park an ITR out doors at night. I would be afraid to park my car outside for one night, and it is a debadged GSR sedan

I know quite a few people in NoVA who park their cars out of doors.

To be honest, most ITR theft problems have little to do with thieves who drive around looking for ITR.

Most of the time the thief is somebody you know and you haven't been very wise in your selection of people you hang out with, or you've lorded it over somebody in the wrong situation and made someone mad who, despite his inclinations, might have left you alone otherwise.

30% of the theft problem is related to the owners themselves, IMHO.

But, anyway, it's getting better as the "craze phase" moves in the direction of K motors.

My ITR has been parked outside for the past 9 months now. My neighbor's ITR is garaged.
