Default Rs

I have found a pretty nice RS for sale, but I am thinking about passing on it and waiting for an LS. Do you guys think I should get the RS, or wait and find an LS?

well the rs has a stiffer frame and is a lighter car but doesnt have the sunroof but you can get one put in for about 300 plus labor so about 800if you really want one and you can buy the rims for about 300 or so on ebay with tires (ls rims). and i dont really care about the cruise control type stuff i think power windows is nice enough so if you want a faster and stiffer car then i suggest you get a rs but if you want the sunroof then that just defeats that so if you must have the sunroof then just goahead and get the ls

If you get an rs, it is stupid to get an aftermarket sunroof put in. First of the extra stuffness in the frame will be lost and the car will be less still than the ls. Secondly the aftremarket ones leak so you will have a leaky car. If you don';t care about the ammenities, and found a good rs which has a good engine and good condition body for a reasonable price, go with it. You can have a good base to do lots of mods to.

It depends on what you want.

RS is lighter (more than a 100lbs, which is signifficant), no sunroof = stiff chassis, etc
Its better suited for a performance focused car than the LS because of those aspects.

But, the RS isn't going to be night and day difference than the LS so if you like the LS comforts you should hold out.

I have a 95' RS, and I haven't regreted getting it. I just participated in a Drag race event yesterday and had a **** load of fun, even though I'm stock. I actually beat a few modded CRX's during the qualifing rounds My best time was 11.05 on the 1/8th mile.

ummm.... biggest difference would be the ABS brakes... the RS has disc brakes w/ no ABS

I think I'm gonna hold out for an LS or GS. I like the sunroofs and other features. If I'm lucky maybe I can hold out until I can get 7K and get a G3 GSR like I really want The only thing is, boning rides for 8 more months would be tough

I would get the LS. But then again I like the power windows and sunroof. I'm willing to sacrifice a little performance for comfort and luxury.
