Well Im planning to put my order in for the hytech system tomorrow. I was wondering should I make the cat removable or should I just have it welded on the B pipe? $100 extra. What do you guys think

Eh, I would make it so you could take it off....but that's just my input...I'm pretty sure that spending another 100 bucks shouldn't break the bank since you are spending 2200 or so....hehe.

BTW, I hope you know you may be waiting a long time for this baby....but it's worth the wait.

I'm going with SMSP's setup when I get the cash.

Personally, I'd also want a removable cat. The parts of an exhaust don't tend to wear out at the same time, and it would be an advantage to be able to take the cat on and off as necessary.

People have been known to "blow out" a cat in high RPM track use, too, and you'd want to be able to replace just the cat.

Wow that's quick. It took John 2 months to finish mine. Granted he was in the middle of moving his shop. Yeah, I would have preferred to have a removable cat since my Hytech system came with a carsound...which have been known to crap out. :? 6 months so far w/o a problem knock on wood.
