do the 97-98 perform and handle like the 00-01?

i'd say all ITRs are different, some may be faster than others, i doubt its just the 97-98 production was faster.
Perhaps it has to do with the OBd2a and OBd2b thing lol

There is no way to really say that any year is faster, because.... Type R's are a very unique car, they are guaranteed to come stock at least 195 HP. Some come with more because of the level at which they are made in japan. In rare occasions, some R owners get an R with as much as 220 HP, running 14.2 or so stock in the 1/4. My friend robs 01 py R went right from the dealer to the dyno and the car had 192 HP at the wheels, stock. just something to think about

My '00 FBP felt faster than my '97. Both had about 25-30K. Can the intake cam on the '00 make a noticable difference?
