This is a wonderfull story, and any imput would be greatful. In December I spun a bearing. The car was parked imediatly after the knock started. After that the car was towed to a Honda/Acura specialist. He had never even seen an R so I had Acura Road side pick the car up from his shop and bring it to the nearest dealer which happens to be 63 miles away. After the car is dropped off I find out they cant work on the car. So I ask them if I can leave it there until I can find another place to take it. They agreed, and put a service number in my car and took my keys. When I left the car I wrote down the milage, and the battery was dead. When i pick up the car, there was an extra 3 tenths of a mile and the battery was miraculously charged. This means that not only did they drive the car, knowing what problems it had, but they also went out of there way to do so. This is suposed to be a reputable dealership, and they go around potentialy damaging my block? Is this bullshit, or am I just overprotective of my baby.

Why don't you just ask them where the mileage cane from?

They most likely just had to move it around. Also how long did you leave it there? The longer it was there the more of a chance it had to be moved. The battery could of been charged by the alternator when they had to move it, because they most likely jumped started and let it run for a little bit.

3 tenths of a mile could be just moving it around type of things... I wouldn't get to overwelmed about 3 tenths... now if it were 10 miles then yes... milage adds up pushing/towing, etc.. the car around as well... Maybe they were rolling it back and forth from the shop to store it inside at night, then pull it out during the day so they could work on other cars.. :?

the car was moved exactly 15 feet. And 3 tenths of a mile is alot of pushing... thats more that a quarter mile. as for starting it up and letting it run... with a spun bearing that isnt a good idea. And I did ask where the milage came from. They claimed the had ony moved the car the 15 feet from where I dropped it off. And they said that they dont know anything about the battery being charged. But 15 feet isnt going to charge a battery.

The gash in the lip is probably from tow truck winch lines if it went on a flat bed. Clemson university towed my R from infront of my dorm, jackasses, and caused a scratched crease in my lip wich after much arbitration they replaced.

Im no lawyer but i dont think you do because you left the car at the dealer. You kinda I guess left it in there possesion which doesnt justify the mileage any. The mileage could of come from the tow truck maybe or from when you had at the other guys shop. Just a thought.

The milage is for sure from the dealer. When I left the dealership from the time I dropped it off, I wrote the milage on the back of there service ticket. When I returned for the car it was the second thing I checked. First being if anything was stolen.
