i am really paranoid my R is going to be taken. if i take the ecu out every night will it eventually wear the clips out to were they won't lock in place any more.

 

shouldn't. but people can actually and alot of the time do bring thier own ECU if they're actually trying to steal ITRs. take some more measures, unplug your ignition, and some other things under your hood. pull some fuses also, if you want details of which ones are good to pull, PM me. i don't really want to say publically as thieves might read this thread. i've also taken off my front 2 tow hooks. it's a good idea, but if you break down you can actually put them back on pretty easily, hide them somewhere inside your car. (the tow hooks)
