ign. question
stupid question: how does advancing the timing actually add power. Would this maybe correct my fuel problem (Im running rich as hell and exhaust deposits are staining my rear bumper). How much would a dealership charge to check/advance the deposit. I know its kinda a DIY job but im noid about f*cking something up and dont have a timing light on hand.

Advancing timing probably not affect the fuel amounbt you are burning. It could a bit since it might help create a more efficient burn. IF you are on a stock ECU running rich is very normal. The only good way to fix this is with a fuel management system.
