I just got a new shortblock, under warranty (thank god) and now my car is ticking. It sounds like the valves need to be readjusted. I called the dealer and they said it is going to sound that way till the valves seat. Oh and they also replaced one of the valves because it was bent. Is what the dealer is saying true or should I insist they look at it?

 

are you able to check them yourself? if so then do it.
