ITR cams changed three times... 95-97 spec, 98 spec and 00-01 spec... I know the basic markings of the camshafts like the double rings that are ingraved on the ends, but is there a way to tell the year of the cams... I've hear that if you have a 98 Spec R motor, you can get a little more power outta it with the 00-01 spec cams... how do you tell the years apart, so I know I'm getting '01 cams? any kind of markings for each particular year or anything? This is all I've found.

Just count the rings at the top of the intake cam. 97-98 spec have one engraved ring where as the 00-01 spec ITR cams have two engraved rings. Or you can always measure the cam lobes...
