IS a Supercharger worth 2k used?

Hi i was thinking of buying a jackson racing supercharger with an 8 pound pulley for $2k off some guy. you guys think its worth it? plez let me know.

No. I would pay more like $1,200 for a used one.

You will need the boost timing controller, MAP controller, and a high pressure fuel pump (or some other form of fuel management) to run 8 psi. That is what I am running right now, and I think it is too much for my stock 240cc injectors. If you just slap on the blower you won't get half the power that you should, and at 8 psi you will get detonation and engine damage.

$2,000 is a little high for just the blower. $1,200 is a great deal if it is in good condition.

Keep an eye on the classified here as well as on honda-tech.com and at the "forced induction integras" at hostboard.com. You can get the BTC and MAP controllers pretty cheap because many guys are moving up to either Hondata, Cartech, or VAFC to control their fuel. Hondata even controls the timing so you won't need the BTC.

I have seen most kits go for about $1800.I plan on selling mine in couple of weeks for $1500. It has 2600 miles on it.
