Howard Duncan dropped the bomb on the STX competitors this weekend and said the EVO would be removed from the ST exclusion list and now be STX compliant. He said to expect an annoucement in an upcoming FastTrack. OUCH!!!

For anyone building an STX ITR, this isn't good news!!!

Bad news... especially once some EVO's get modified.

I just don't see how they fit there. Where is the STi going to end up??

Now maybe someone will build fully CSP-prepared ITR and see if it is actually competitive....

I see how they fit, but they're going to so clearly dominate, it's almost not fair to let them in. The cost of entry now is going to exceed $35K in STX (car + mods). That's pretty steep!

If they still had the 225 tire rule, then I wouldn't be nearly as concerned since the EVO has a curb weight at around 3250, but with 245's and all the stock potential, not to mention aftermarket the EVO has, STX now just got Owned by Mitsubishi!

I hope Howard comes back and says they've changed their minds and are not going to let the EVO run STX. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

My God I hope thats wrong or they change their minds. I just now got my first class win against modded WRX, I cant even fathom beating an Evo or STi unless they were total crap drivers!
