i went to atco raceway last night to see if i could improve my times
got a 14.8 my first run
2nd run got a 14.5 @93.4 thats my best, i launched at about 4500rpms and had about 13psi in the shitty kumhos
my car has a cai,dc header,dc catback, and a new clutch
do you guys think thats a decent time for what i have....i think i should be able to do a bit better but the car is pretty hard to launch i think(im better at the rwd american cars!)
what can i do to get my mph up?
any help or opinions is appreciated
-Brian

Well.. put a few more psi back into your tires. At only 13 lbs of pressure, you're losing out on speed towards the end of your runs. Don't worry, you're right in the average with your times and hopefully with a little practice and about 20 psi or so of tire pressure, you'll be able to run in the low-14's

Looking at your MPH, you are pretty much running a mid to low 14 sec car. I would'nt expect much better considering the mods. If you are able to get traction (you didn't mention your 60 foot) it will help. Usually once you get traction your MPH will drop slightly. Unless you increase power.

14.5 at 93 and change is pretty damn good, maybe you can squeeze out another tenth, but, that mph is pretty consistant with that ET. I ran a 14.3 at 103mph, that's way outta wack because of traction, but getting my point, I was putting down 2.3 60 ft times, cause i spun all through first, pretty much no matter what pressures I run, or how I launch. I had almost the same time with just an intake and header, although a lot less MPH.
From that ET and MPH you seem to be a pretty good driver, what was you 60ft. Consider that for every tenth in your 60ft, you should be able to knock off two on your ET.

Aj
