I was just in pep boys getting some stuff for my other car. I was roaming in the fluids aisle. Octane Booster caught my eye. I looked at it. It said to just add to normal fuel. Octane Boosts in 102, 104, 106. I was wondering whether or not they are safe for my ITR. And if it is safe, how would my ITR benefit from its use?

hmmmm...... i don't know if this will really answer your question but, i was going to use a mugen ecu and i needed to run 95 or higher octane to use it safely. being in california we only get 91 so i asked the guys at king motorsports if octane booster would help. their reply was that they have not seen anything that works well.

I used to run really high compression in my car, and when using 93 octane it would run fine, but ping a little when it was hot. When running 100 octane no matter how hot it was it didn't ping, with 93 and the octane booster, it still pinged. I've never heard anyone actually using it on a regular basis other than for shits and gigles. If it does do anything, I can't seem to see it...

Aj

Are you stock? If you haven't done any headwork or forced induction, you're not going to run lean and need a higher octane fuel. You'd just be wasting money.

I am 100% stock. Modifications are planned but not anytime soon.

rather than using octane booster, put some money in a blender and our that in your gas tank, it'll just about as an effective way to get hp...lol, jk, dont waste your money though, seriously.
