I just bought coilovers and i was curious about what would be the perfect ride height for the street. Anyways i live in South florida, streets are mildly shitty but most streets are smooth.

Well I live in NYC and could not really go with anything lower then stock hight, simply due to the size of some of the speed bumps and holes. But I would reccomend for you to try going down in 1/2 inch increments till you find a hight that suits you.

 

Perfect ride height for the street= stock...that's why they call it a Type-R....just perfect stock.

well the lower you good the more negitive camber your going to have. The higher you go the stiffer the spring is going to get because your compressing the springs. Just play with it. I would get a camber kit though...long term save you some money........

 

On your coilovers that you're getting, the optimal ride height would be about 1-1.25 inches lower than it is right now, given that the Tiens that you got have a pretty good amount of travel, you really can't go any lower than that, otherwise you'll have to run them pretty stiff to keep from wacking the bump stop. Although, the way you drive, I'd say that's not much of an issue any way. Tien should be able to provide you with some info on optimal ride heights. What spring rate combo did you end up going with any way, If you told me, I've already forgotten.

Well, the Kit can control either a 16 way or 32 way adjustable dampning coilover, but yours will only be one or the other, not both. Either way, it has nothing to do with ride height, but that EDFC is pretty damn kool.....

If you get them, I'm putting em' on my car to see if they fit my coilovers so I can get a set....

Well.. ride height story kinda stopped from the last post, but you asked about the spring rate and those were the specs. But the EDFC can make it 16 way to 32way www.tein.com

I recently bought the tein flex z 16 way. Didnt know there was a 32 way option but its all good they work pretty good. I also bought the EDFC pro , keep in mind the motors and GPS are sold separately. I bought from redline360.com but just a heads the motors they sell that go on top are m12/m14 motors and the correct ones that go on top at m12/m12. Currently waiting on motors to get system going but excited to get it going and see how it works on the car
