Looking for ITR or COnversion
Hey guys. IM looking for a ITR but in case my efforts to find one become fruitless i was wondering if dropping a used ITR engine/tranny into a LS or something would do... would it still be that different from a ITR? now assume that suspension and such details would be worked on... would it be different/ less? thanks for ur help guys.

It will be a lot different and missing the solidness of an R.
How have your efforts been fruitless? I found my 98 R no problem. You must be insisting it be within 50-100 miles of you. I flew from Nashville to Kansas City to pick my R up. Better to travel a long way for a clean one than settle for one that is local cause it is easy to find.

I know, right?
I actually had to get in my car and drive 20 minutes to the next city to the east of me and then had to put 20 miles on my car to drive her back to my neighborhood. What a pain :P
In all seriousness, Trey's right; be prepared to travel to get the car you want. Type R's are difficult to find (a little less diffucult lately, though, a lot of guys are selling their R's) and if you really want one, be prepared to spend the time and extra money to get it. You can't always just luck out like I did
