Default lowering

hi. do you know where i can go to rent a spring compressor. i am gonna lower my car. i appreciate it also if you would give me some good tips. thanks.

you don't really need to rent one, it'll probably be cheaper to just take the parts to a wheel and suspension shop and tell them to put it together for you. If you really want to rent one, maybe try Home Depot or Sears or something along those lines.

thanks. ill check those places out. well, it is no fun having other people work on your car. doing it yourself also save money.

any car parts store - autozone for example can rent you tools like that.

They rented me one for free from Checker. The "no cost" approach to replacing shocks and springs. If you're are going to do all the work to take the spring/strut setup off of the car, you might as well do the springs yourself.

do not rent from autozone it wont work good. go to PEP BOYS you can rent it free, u just need a $50 deposit. the PEP BOYS spring compressor will work for tegs.

iv heard from many people that the thing(i dont know what its called)that hooks onto the coil to compress it is to large to ft in between the coils because they were to close together. yes it will work but takes a bit of effort to get the thing in between the coils. the pep boys one will work instantly. HTH
