Hey guys,

It's rare that I talk about turbos, but I got 2 projects in the garage these days.
My tech is putting together a GSR turbo and an ITR turbo, mostly hand crafted bits and pretty rare components...at least that's what they tell me.
I drive a stock ITR so most of it is new to me.
I left a link to the site where we will be posting the progress of the jobs and pix.
The GSR is almost completed and ITR has just begun.
Let me know if you have specific questions that a can get answered.

here is the link.

Looks good, I like the extensive use of heat shielding. My only concern is that loop on your turbo oil drain. As you know the turbo drains by gravity, you should have a continuous down hill drain on that. The loop is going to make it difficult for that oil to drain, you will end up with cavitation within that loop and may even result in aeration of the oil. Plus the size looks a little small, I have the same oil pan and used a #10 AN fitting on that port (has a larger ID) than #8.

Hi Jan,

I spoke with my tech guy and he confirms the -10 fitting size , so that is good.
However there is no easy way to make a direct line down, but we will relook the route.
Good eye , BTW.
I guess you were the guest that replied directly on the site, no?

Thanks

After looking for a new solution.......we spun the turbo body forward to clear space for a direct shot to the drain. Thanks for the insight.
I'll get new pix up soon.
Have you checked out our custom stainlesss exhaust...3''....pix are posted on the same board that you visited.

See ya

Yeah, that looks fantastic. very similar to mine except your's looks better.
What are you using for a flex joint between the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust. I designed and built my own, a 3" ball and socket assembly utilizing the stock spring loaded bolts, with a graphite donut gasket.
