Well, I know where you can get a mount for a roll cage, but, if you don't have a bar to mount it on, you may run into a problem. There is a company called LongAcre, they make stuff like that, not sure if they even have a web site, but they may make a mount to connect to your headrest. If I see anything I'll let you know.

Later,
Aj

Check with Trey (site admin) about a DIY camera mount. By using some aluminum stock and some U bolts, you can make a really nice camera mount that attaches to the OEM headrests.

hey you two, thanks for the replys but, only problem with your suggestions is that i cannpt use them. i have the jdm seats in my carso the headrest idea will not work. i did some resesearch and saw that people use a harness bar to mount their camera but that combined with the mount is almost 200 dollars. there was another solution with a suctioncup camera mount but,i don't know how reliable those are. are there any other solutions?

Check with Jeff (BudMan) and ask him about his camera mount. IIRC he's got a b-pillar bar that attaches at the upper seat belt anchors and he mounts his camera to the bar. He should be able to give you more info. HTH.

Thats what he just said was 200 and was looking for a better alternative.

On a side note, the more expensive suction cup mounts are very good as long as they are properly installed. We've tried them on our race car durring track events, and even on several off-road excursions, it still stayed put.

Any way, Later,

hey thanks aj,

actually the suction cup mount that i was looking at was 175. it's a little cheaper but, i was questioning how reliable it was. good to hear that it has worked out well for you. it might be my best option. do you know what kind you are using?

Honestly, we had borrowed until we got our roll cage cam in the mail. I'll try and find out for you if I can.

Sorry,
Aj
