Got my Hondata composite intake manifold gasket in the mail today.

It wasn't a mod that I was planning on doing, but I had Matt at Hondata sending me a new chip for my S100, and figured while they were shipping it to me, I might as well give the gasket a try and see what it does.

Any way, it was a bit pricey($60), basically for a piece of plastic in the shape of a gasket, but either way, it seems to be, if their claims(3-9%) are accurate, a good investment, as it is reusable.

I wouldn't mind another 3-9whp or more out of a simple gasket.

Well, I'll let you guys know how it turned out next time I'm on the dyno.

Later,
Aj

Did you install it yet? If so, how was the install?

I havnt done it quite yet, but I did do a GS-R, which we ended up putting a Skunk2 Manifold on afterward, and it wasn't so bad, and that's a lot of extra steps you won't need to do.

I've swapped many intake manifolds, and just taking it off, and putting it back on is pretty simple, just make sure you take out the coolant, and remember to put it back, and oh yeah, label all the vacum lines, not that there are many, but if you've never done it before, it couldn't hurt.

Also, there are bolts on the bottom of the manifold that are kinda a pain, but you need to remove, otherwise it won't budge, a ratcheting 12mm open ended, or maybe it was 14mm, either way, it'll come in handy, and you may want to invest in one.

Good Luck,
Aj

Good deal. Had mine for a few months. nbice peice and definitely drops the temps by their claimed amounts inside the Intake Manifold as measured on the power FC.

Matt is a great guy. Known him for a couple years now. Helps me whenever I have a hondata question.
