Acura Warranty Coverage
Hi,
What exactly is covered under Acura's 50K 3 year warranty? If I have a leaking radiator or a blown head gasket, is that covered by the warranty?
Where can I get information on this?
I once asked an Acura service techinician if aftermarket parts like CAi or exhaust will void the warranty, and he said no, unless I have some engine mods (cams, NOS). Is this true?
Thanks.

It's true to a point.
Acura will cover both the head/g and leaky rad. as long as there are no internal mods that "caused" the damage. A CAI will not void the warranty unless the tech can trace the internal damage to water intake or some defect in the CAI that caused something to get sucked into the engine i.e. glue...whatever.
A tech I spoke with said that your engine is covered, if it goes, unless you have broke a factory seal (stock parts). I think he means, if you have touched the inside of your engine, and they can prove it, you are screwed.
Keep all your factory parts, make note of factory reference marks, and if any of your mods cause the engine to sh8 the bed, replace the mod w the factory part and gasget.....remember to check factory torque settings.
Oh yes.......a tech will be able to tell if No2 was the cause of death.......instantly!!!!
