Type R - Right-hand-drive conversion - need help
Im in the middle of converting my us-spec integra to JDM. one of the last major changes left is converting to right-hand drive. I have no idea how to even start this.... are there any shops that can do it? Where can i get parts( like a dash) ? Any replies are appreciated
Not sure that's really something you want to do to your car, it's really a lot of work, in addition to having to really hack up your car. You have to cut a hole in your fire wall about the size of a basket ball, not to mention having to patch up the old basket ball size hole on the other side of the car, then having to relocate all the master cylinders, hard lines, A/C componentry, new dash, new steering rack, not to mention welding and repainting all the holes and everything else left from stuff you moved to the other side of the car.
If you have a lot of time on your hands, and want a project, it's kool, otherwise, I wouldn't put the time, energy, or money in to in.
As far as shops that'll do it for you, pretty much any good body shop could do it, it's just a matter of finding all the parts.....
Good luck, Later!!!

Here in Cali. there are shops that sell JDM front clips. When people convert their cars, they hack off your USDM front clip, including fire wall and weld on the JDM front clip. The only thing that you have to worry about is how well they weld the JDM clip on :?
But if you are looking for the parts, check eBay. I have seen some people selling the whole front clip including fire wall. Good luck in your project!

The blue "JDM Type R" right? He didn't start with a complete existing car. He bought a non-running junker that was pretty stripped and then took off everything but the frame and rebuilt it from doors and interior panels to engine to hatch with all JDM parts. Not the same thing as what SagaTypeR is looking to do unless he wants to gut and rebuild as well. I really don't see this as less than a 5-figure investment.
the guy that did the rhd integra in super street is a member of www.honda-tech.com check it out. do a search on that forum and you can find him. good luck. i was thinking of doing the same thing till i heard it was over 130 welds to drill out and re-weld.
