ok well as I said i put the new switch in well i went out for a test drive i drove it hard to see if the CEL would pop back on. when i was comeing back from the test drive it felt like i hit a rev limitor at 7000 rpm... i dont know how lol... any ideas what it could have been, i had my hand on the shifter and it kicked it out of gear, never did that at 7000 rpm.

Hello ...when did your vtec kick in? Sounds like possible limp mode, dunno for sure. If you have low oil pressure as stated before, that could cause no or late vtec engagement and possible limp mode. Hope you can check your oil pressure with a guage to find out for sure that its not too low. If you jacked up your engine lately with a floor jack and dented your oil pan up, that also could cause low oil pressure by obstructing the oil pick up. Hope this helps, if not , disregard everything after Hello.

What is the oil pressure sapoze to be at, dosnt tell me in my tech manual.

Minimum of 10 psi at idle, 50 psi at 3000 rpm.

Everything youre describing is symptoms of low oil pressure.

CEL at high RPM, early cut, late vtec...

How many qts of oil are you putting in? Replace that pan as well...the dent is no good (depending on the size).
