GSR spoiler is effective at a lower speed, but not anywhere near as effective.

I believe they are functional to some point.....I agree, usually at higher speeds......but they do create a bit of drag also....not much because of their lack of rake.....nothing that a little more horsepower couldn't overcome

FWIW, the ITR brochure lists the following under "Body/Structural Enhancements":

>Stiffened body structure for exceptional rigidity and suspension control
>High rear wing for added stability
>Chin spoiler for improved aerodynamics

The rear of my car already dances around under hard braking from 120+

I dont even want to know what it would be like without the wing. Yeah, leave it on.

The wing does create SOME drag.. not much as indicated above.

Reid, IIRC, shaved a few tenths (1-3 tenths) and increased his trap speed by removing the wing at the drag strip.

Better yet, King motorsports did a test of for car and Driver (using Mugen Mikes current car i think) and they picked up like 2-3 mph of top speed so there is some drag but pretty minimal unless you have unlimited running room.

I was talking to Willard about why he travels without the wing on and he said that he get better MPG with it off by 3-4 better...

I think I want it :happysad:.

It would seem fairly logical that the wing would keep the rear end from becoming squirly during trailbraking. Same with the gas mileage thing, less drag, less effort.
