Default ITR Pistons fit in b16 block?

I was just wondering if ITR pistons could fit into a stock b16 block. Because b18c5 motor is 1.8L and b16a2 is 1.6L. Doesn't that mean the size of the combustion chamber is larger therefore larger pistons?

it fits. the difference in the engine size comes from the stroke which is measured by the crank rotation.

Both have 81mm bores, simple swap.

They'll actually lower your compression though. Try CTR pistons instead.

While CTR pistons are a good option, they need to be used with caution. The piston to deck clearance is substantially reduced, so the engine should be clayed to ensure you won't have any valve to piston contact. The stock b16 rod ends must also be machined (1mm off each side) to accept the CTR pistons. It can be done and has been done, you just need to make sure all your specs/measurements are correct to avoid any problems.

Right, I was about to mention that the rod ends need 1 mm machined off each side around where the piston pin goes through them. I believe that's also the case with B17 rods, not sure about B18A/B ones.

Along with what you mentioned about the clearance issues, for those who are unaware the CTR uses a B18C block with a shortened stroke hence why it doesn't have issues with the piston-to-deck clearance.

Rod milling does still apply with B18A/B blocks, that's where I first heard about the operation.
