Default SFI padding questions

Well, since there's so many rollbar and cage people in here, I thought I would just go ahead and ask..

My cage should be done within the next few weeks, so it's time to get some padding for the bars. Except I'm not really sure how much I'll need, what to pad, what padding I need exactly, and where to get it cheapest.

I've got a standard 6 pt cage, nascar door bars on the driver side with crossbars on the passenger side.

Any info would be great..

And if this is better suited for a RR/AX type forum, please move it.. Thanks!

I would pad with SFI padding where ever you think you might come in contact with the bar, and then I would pad a little bit beyound where you think you might come in contact with the bar, also don't forget about your passenger area if you will have passengers with yah.

In addition, I would also use the non-SFI "high-density" (with the offset hole) to basically cover any other areas that are left over. But as Solracer said, definitely use the SFI 45.1 liberally where there's any chance of contact.

Three thickness choices for three colors = 9

Thicknesses are - 1/2", 3/4", and 1"

Pick a color and it will show you the three thickness options.

All 9 options have 1 'unit' = 36 inches long.
