Default HELP....pin in rear caliper stuck

Im changing my rotors and pads on the rear and discover that the top pin of the rear passenger caliper bracket that holds the brake pads in is stuck? Do I need to get a whole new bracket or can that pin be pulled out. I have tried to wd-40 it to death and tired to pull it out without much success. What should I do?? That was the last thing that I had to do before I completed my rotor/brake pad change.

There are no pins that hold the pads in, once you get the caliper to swing up. The pads pull straight out. Which pin are you referring to?

Hes probably referring to the pins that are held in the caliper by 12mm bolts...one on top, one on bottom.

If its stuck, do this.

1) Remove the 12mm bolts from the caliper and take it apart so the bracket with the pins in it is the only piece on the rotor. Hang the caliper off to the side.
2) Take the little boot off.
3) Use a punch or a flathead or a small wrench, etc, whatever you have, and hold it against the flat part of the pin and bang it out with a hammer/mallet/something heavy. Lube it, bang it, lube it, bang it. You can also try to turn it to loosen it with some plyers or a 17mm wrench if I remember right.
4) Once you get the pin out, clean it off, and lube the shit out of it with grease, spray, whatever you have. Slide it back in, slide the boot off and put it all back together.

Done!
