Default sparkplug replacement for 96 sedan LS

my car has 60k miles and i havent changed out my spark plugs yet, i think i need to now, cause i notice a decrease in power, and i have to pump gas more often now for some reason, and starting the car sounds like the car is struggling to start up now, and also when i punch it, it doesnt kick in as fast as how it used to awhile back. A lot of ppl told me its my spark plugs... so what kind do you guys recommend i get? and whats this pregapped and gapped stuff. Can you guys tell me the exact kind and model to get for my car, and how much will it cost me? some of my friends told me to go to acura/honda dealer, but dont they rip you off there? help me please. i need to get this changed soon.... also at 60k does my car need anything else changed or replaced?

NGK Coppers(sometimes called V-Powers) Part # is ZFR5F-11

or

NGK Platinums if you wanna spend the $$ Part # is PZFR5F-11

I think PepBoys sells them..if not...get them from Acura..even there they shouldn't be more than $2 each for the coppers

I got NGK's from Kragen. I told them what kind of car and they went to the back and got them. The cool thing was they were already gapped too. I just did mine last weekend at 108k. There were some other plugs in there before so I'm assuming they were changed previously

Plugs, fuel filter, air filter. PUT ON A FUEL FILTER!!!!!!!!

Get the stuff from the dealer, or it will be crap. You can't get a better plug than ngk.

my car was losing power and getting bad gas mileage too. i put on a new fuel filter and everything was back to normal. you could also put in some fuel injector cleaner. you might want to change your distributer cap and rotor. I'm not sure what mileage you are suspost to do that at.

Why? NGK are factory plugs for the Teg. Thats the main reason I got them. There were some Champions in there when I changed them. I did the plugs, fuel filter, cap and rotor and oil change. I dont really notice any difference. My car seems slower and my mileage is going into the tank. I use to get 330 to a tank and now I'm only getting like 280 with no change in driving habits. Someone else on the board suggested the O2 sensor may be going bad.

I got some for my 95 LS last nght from pepboys, they came pre-gapped. I put them in this morning...the teg runs a lil smoother now a a hair quieter at idle.

yea same here. I think mine were running a little rich. I'm glad I got all that tune up stuff out of the way. I looked at my timing belt and it looked good too. I havent changed it yet and I have 109k on my car. I think the dealership may have changed it before I bought it
