Default more power?

i just put my car on a dyno recently, i put out about 150 whp and about 124 lbs of torque. i have an 93 integra with an 95 gsr motor swap with my old ls tranny. i have your regular mods like sri, header, highflow cat, cat-to back exhaust, and an apexi v-tec controller. my question is would i create more power with the 95 gsr tranny??? or is that just a waste of money to convert.

not necessarily but itd lay down the power better and keep you in your powerband more. an ls tranny with a gsr motor = not good setup

Long ass gears... the GS-R tranny has significantly shorter gears

Its not more hp. its going to bring your torque up a bit though. but its worth it cuz it has alot better gears. the shifts are shorter then the regular old integras, i would do the conversion. its not so expinsive maybe 500-700 at the most but its worth it at least thats what i think. But its up to you really, thats just my opinion.

id say to switch to the gs-r or si tranny (i think si has the same gear ratios as ITR - maybe somebody can confirm this for me)

while you're in there, get a beefier clutch and an lsd if you can afford it

SI and ITR have similar gearing (Thought to be the same but there are some lingering questions about Final Drives). It has been found that some SI trannys (4.2) have a different final drive than an ITR (4.4) tranny. I'd just buy a Type-R Tranny and call it done. YOu coudl change the FD drive too but that woudl put you in shock going from an LS tranny. My car has a 4.929 FD and I rev 4800 at 80 mph in 5th.

The different gears will keep the motor inits powerband. Rap it up to 8000 rpm, and shift now you drop too far in the revs and fall off the cam. It will drive better, and isn't the old integra shifter cable operated shift better :driving:

Tobra, yes it is, good catch. Actually it is the clutch not the shifter (like the accord/prelude) that is cable driven. He would then need to use a first Gen B16A tranny and build it to suit.
