Default found some rust on my teg :wtc:

i washed my car yesterday and when i looked at the rear fender wells, i noticed that the paint is starting to blister on the passenger side.... on the drivers side, there is a small spot of blister where the sideskirt meets the wheel well (front of the wheel well, rear of the sideskirt) :wtc:

i know it isnt too late to save it but my question is do i get into it myself or should i leave it to the pros and take it someplace that will guarantee thier work?

i tried to eliminate a similar problem on my civic and despite grinding it down to bare metal and scrubbing it with naval jelly, it ended up coming back - thats the main reason i dont want to do it myself.

i took off of those useless black trim things to slow it down.

the black trim things were what started the rusting, they hold the water in there. i would leave it to the pros to fix it, shouldn't cost that much.

yeah, i knew they were a problem since i started driving honda cars in 2001 - somebody told me then but im one to procrastinate - a friend reminded me a couple of months back and i wish i had listened to him then, it might have made some difference - even if it was minor.

but im gonna try to get an estimate this week, since it hasnt spread yet i cant imagine it will cost too too much. i guess we'll see
