My distributor went out and I just bought another one. Well I drove the car for 5 min and now the new distributor went out again. This is getting expensive and I need some help. Anyone know what this could be? I recently took out my VAFC could there be some problem in the wiring? I also know its the distributor because the wires are getting no spark.

 

What makes you think it's not a coil/wire problem?

 

Well if it was a wire problem it would have to be all the wires not workin for it not to start. How would I tell if its the coil?

 

Did you seriously replace the whole distributor, or just the rotor and cap?

I'd have the ignition coil and ignitor checked if I were you

 

I replaced the whole distributor. On my last distributor my ignitor went out. I dont know anywhere to buy an ignitor so I bought the whole thing.
