Yes My car is a 97' but it has 01 front and rear end. so it looks cleaner.

Hey is the 97-98 lighter than the 00-01?

if all cars had A/C, the 97 would be the lightest, as there is no rear wiper

Is it true the 00-01 has a different cam profile on the exhaust side or maybe intake side? More like the CTR cam I guess.

Yes, there is a difference. It's minor, however.

I believe the difference is only a slightly longer duration on the intake cam.

Yep. Almost identical to the CTR cam.

That's like a 1 horsepower gain or so? Or is it because the new ones are heavier they had to make up for it in power??

Trey/Asahi has some interesting dyno graphs of his car with 97-98 cams and 00-01 cams. Maybe he can post them for us.....

They actually make more power, how much I cannot say. I don't think they changed the cams to make up for the extra weight, which is minimal. I think they did it since the CTR cam was already so similar, why not make it virtually identical to the ITR cam?
