Is it illegal to put a new gauge cluster in your car?

JDM gauge clusters read up to 190km/hr, Canadian clusters will read up to 240km/hr.

Therefore, that is a JDM gauge cluster.

It is illegal to place a new cluster in your car for the purpose of odometer defrauding. However, the JDM clusters can be easily set to your current mileage by taking your current miles and multiplying by 1.609. There's a writeup on manipulating mileage on the cluster over at www.gs-r.com . But like I said, if you're looking to defraud someone, it's illegal, but otherwise, it's all gravy.

Plus Canadian ones have MPH written on the faces in little fonts, so you know how fast your going in MPH just by looking rather than calculating

100km is about 62mi
120km is about 75mi
140km is about 85mi
