gauge problems

Default gauge problems

for some reason my mph gauge has been freaking my out lately. I will be driving and all the sudden it will start winding up and down untill finally my check engine light comes on and it doesn move at all. (stays at 0) What the hell is going on here?

Sounds like you need to hook it up for some diagnostics, get your error code, maybe something as simple as a loose connection. Does the tach or any other guage show any problems?

no there are no other problems but i duiscovered that my vtec is not kicking in at all now u think this can be related and why is this happening?

I bet your Vehicle Speed Sensor is bad. Thats why your odometer is acting up and your car is not hitting vtec (the car needs to be going 25mph for it to go into vtec and with the bad VSS it will not show the ECU that the car is going 25mph).
