Hell I say go to Autozone or NAPA or whereever if you arent making huge HP.

Ive seen 400whp Drag cars make it down the 1320 numerous times on stock axles. Some get lucky, some dont. One things for sure, unless youre making solid power, I wouldnt worry about getting anything other than OEM or Autozone/Napa/Pep Boys, etc. Id use them until I had a frequent snapping issue with them.

 

Unless the car is making a substantial amount of power or is being subjected to frequent high-rpm launches the stock axles will be perfectly fine. Your best bet is to go the lifetime-waranteed route on something from an auto parts store.

 

I always get my axles froms Autozone......can't beat the life time warranty.

 

ive seen stock axels break on stock power at the drag strip. a guy had a lot of wheel hop. and snap. anyhow as long as you drive well you should be ok with stockers up to about 250-300.

 

Yeah some get lucky, and some don't.

I had was making about 150whp and using a 6puck clutch. The axle gave out on launch on my hatchback.

 

wheel hop kills axles..
