why do all you people put down the ITR wing?
It is a nice looking wing, and it's much cleaner looking than any "aftermarket" wing.

The ITR wing will not be a direct bolton to your car, the only way to figure out how much it's going to cost you would be to bring it to a body shop and ask them how much it would cost you. 4 mounting holes need to be drilled, just let the body shop do it all, so that it won't come out crook'ed.

How can it come out crooked when the car has pre-selected mounting holes for the wing eh? Underneath your hatch/trunk there should be 2 pre-cut holes about an inch apart on each side of you hatch/trunk. Just drill into that and you're fine as far as fitment goes.

I have a 4 door. I put the GSR spoiler from a coupe on my car. It looks fine, but technically it does not fit. Its not a bad thing, but its more than just drilling 4 holes in the deck. The places that are marked for drilling are not the same distance as they are on a coupe. The sedan spoilers are at least an inch or two longer than the coupes. Check out this album. You can see in the pictures of the underside of the deck that the holes for the spoiler are further out than the holes I had to drill. It doesn't look wrong at all on the outside. Its really only when you look under the deck that you can tell that it doesn't fit. Now, if you already have holes drilled from a 4 door spoiler then you are hosed. A 2 door spoiler won't work if you already have holes drilled. If you have a roto zip drill then its not hard at all to cut out the holes for a spoiler in a sedan. I haven't ever had anyone say that my spoiler doesn't look right and that includes car show judges. They do make 4 door Type R spoilers. I would look into getting one of those because it might look funny being so far from the edge of the trunk. A GSR spoiler doesn't look funny because it hangs over a bit. A spoiler that doesn't hang over would look weird.

I was thinking of getting a type-r spoiler on my LS. Does any one know if this would require new mounting holes, or if it would fit into the old holes?

i personally think the type-r spoiler looks 10x better than a stock gsr spoiler.I hardly ever see the low profile gsr spoiler anymore except on my grandmother's integra.I have seen a few ls's and gs-r's with the type r.It looks great.I bought one and am waiting for it too come in.

because the lip looks good pretty much every single time. however, the ITR wing looks awkward on most non-ITRs, at least in mine and many other people's opinion.

how can it look awkward?Say you have a black 98 gsr. Both with lips and Type R spoiler. The majority of people are never going too see or care if the car has side moldings and a sun roof.Other than that there are really no exterior difference.Go for it man,i just got my spoiler in and gonna mount it within a hour ill show ya my car then.
