Default Tein Ss

To whomever can answer this,

I am about to buy the TEIN SS package. I was curious, to those who know, does it come with the pillow ball mounts? If it doesnt, what do I need to get, and where? Also, I am planning on installing this with my dad/grand-dad. I've read alot of reviews stating how "easy" it was to install. But most of those reviews were for RSX or Subaru. I was curious if anyone has any glory or horror stories about installation.

Thanks,

AC

pillowball mounts are optional, but the set (ss's + pb mounts) do cost more.

you don't need the pillowball mounts for the setup to effectively work. I'm assuming you're not a hardcore track guy so it really makes no difference.

They're great coilovers for the price, and I've never heard any horror stories about the installs...

I'm just saving up for some ZealB6s instead

I'm working my way into autocross/track time, just taking little bitty steps toward it. Would you recommend the pillow-ball mountS?

if money isn't really an issue, it couldn't hurt, but again, they aren't necessary.

I am running mine without the pillow-ball mounts (which are - to my understanding - essentially spherical steel bearing-type top mounts) and am very satisfied with the performance of the setup on my DC4.

FYI, I'm lowered about 1 2/3rds in. all around, on 205/40 R16 tyres.
No rub issues (obviously), reasonable ride quality- even with relatively firm settings (4 F / 6 R). IMO, unless you are putting serious time into auto-x, you'll be quite impressed with this system.

here is another question I have while I wait til wednesday......anyone know where i can find that suspension cheaper than $915 delivered? I've found a website that sales it for 900 and will ship it for 13. Sounds like a good deal to me.
