Um, I don't know, maybe when I replace my e-brake handle I will do that, I don't think it's that bad...but that's just my opinion

i had shift boot gap like that before, then fixed it so it's like this (now its just a TAD bit higher):

i told u it was an abnormal feeling. I'm sure your shifter feels exactly the same as mine now.
