Default head

I am about to rebuild my engine and tranny. first I have had someone tell me that I should put a b20 head on my b18 block and I was wondering if anyone knows more about this. also when I was looking into rebuilding my tranny i was told to put a civic si or b16 tranny in because lower gears are better, so which is better type r or b16

The B18A, B18B, B20B, and B20Z all use the same head. Swapping them makes no difference.

I can't recommend a transaxle unless you tell what year your car is.

:lmfao:

The B18C1 (P72) DOHC VTEC head is far superior then the DOHC (PR4) B20B/Z head, whoever told you to swap them is a complete idiot.

If you already have a GS-R transaxle, the only worthwhile upgrade is a Type R transaxle, but that's not really worth the time to swap.

If you don't mind dropping the cash, an ITR would be nice.

ITR = Integra Type R, in this case I mean the ITR's transaxle.

same deal with CTR, Civic Type R.
