i was wondering if any short ram was legal, like if i made one myself would it be legal? without the certified california sticker thing that is approved by emmissions? i kno cold air's need the stickers but do short rams? thanks

 

Find one made by Injen, AEM, or Comptech. They have CARB exemptions, which basically make them 50 state legal

I feel sorry for you guys always getting raked over the coals for making changes to your cars.

The only thing I,ve heard people getting bothered about is load ricey exhausts, but this is no worse than a Harley with straight pipes.

 

No, thats not all of canada. My buddy was in Woodbrige(Vaughan,Ontario) and a cop stopped him. He got a ticket, the cop said that his ram air intake has to be in a box. The cop also said he was polluting more because of that.

I have never heard of a short RAM being ilegal. I think as long as it does not affecte the sound level or emissions it is legal. and anyway how the cops will know you have one.

 

open your hood and look. In California, you need the CARB EO number for that sort of thing to be legal. A home made cold air deal is illegal, even if your car still passes smog on the sniffer, they would fail you on the visual examination if they know what they are doing, which is more unlikely than you would think
