ls intake manifold
when we hooded up intake mani i started my car and it reved to almost redline but the pcvalve is broken and some guy told us not to hook it up so does anyone know what this could be? and i havent reset the ecu yet

If you didn't cap the bung the PCV hose was connected to, yeah, you'll have a huge vacuum leak that would make the car rev to 5k+ as soon as you start it.
Reconnect the PCV valve. Whoever told you to disconnect it is an idiot.
