alternator question
I'm swapping in an motor from a 92 ls into my 91 hatch. I was wondering what amperage the alternator is for this motor. and also if i could use a stock alternator off of a newer like 94 up teg if it is higher amp. BTW i am asking cause i need more power for the stereo.

When I ran a decent sound system (head, four speakers, and an amp with two 12's) in my '92, I never had any problems with the charging system.
Do you actually need more power, or just want more power? As in, are your headlights pulsing, or is this just something you want to do?

well i have my stock si motor in my 91, and it has bad power issues, the headlights don't pulse, they flash. and it won't even bump them at an idle. and i am planning on running an amp to my mids and highs after i do the swap.
