Default Carbon fiber hood.

So my car got vandalized hardcore a few days ago, liability blows ass for me, and my parents homeowners insurance didnt cover it, so they busted up my hood good, and busted the drivers-side headlamp. I am having a feeling buying a carbon fiber hood would be cheaper than a stock hood, and having it repainted, i could be wrong.. nevertheless though, i dont know if i should e-bay this one because of the quality of hood im fearing of getting, and not only that, but the hoods off of e-bay are incredibly strange looking, does anyone know where i can get a good priced carbon fiber hood for my teg that isnt too "loud" if you know what i mean.

alrighty i didnt know what your budget was but i was lookin around and racer wheel has some fair prices on some hoods, andn i dont think they are loud at all, but i think that getting a carbon fiber hood and an oem hood is around the same price. good luck with that stuff.

no i may be wrong but im almost positive CF if you shop right won't cost as much as a oem hood. I know where you can get a CF hood for liek $400 shipped grade A with a extra supportive latch so you dont need hood pins ...no idea how much a oem hood is though BUT my friend's si just got into a fender bender day before he was going to sell it and he's gettign CF hood because he stated it was cheaper then oem and obviously since he is selling it he doesnt want to put more money then needed...except he said he was looking for a carbon fiber hood for like 300 shipped..anyways vandalizers should burn in :madfawk: hell because its pointless to do that you shoudl atleast steal because then its worth your time instead of just ruining something but...they should get hanged by their testicles either way :fawk:

ViS makes OEM-replica hoods. EBay hoods are VERY risky. Some are ok quality, while some while snap from wind.

Check out one of our sponsors, www.prostreetonline.com. They've got great deals on carbon fiber hoods for less than $400.

carbon fiber hood should be cheaper cause if u take into account buying the hood + paint + color matching + labor that = more than a carbon fiber hood

yes, but with carbon fiber hoods come:

-fitament issues (gaps, overhangs)
-quality (crack under little pressure? start peeling?)
-reliabity (hold under high speeds? long-lasting?)

the more expensive hoods fit better, have excellent quality, and are more reliable than ones bought from a no-name company.
