Default coilover raising tool

My ground control (eibach) coilover's didn't come with the tool that allows you to raise up the car passed hand turning capabilities*. My coilovers came with the springs ect. and allan* wrench to loosen tighten height but not the one tool... lol im so confusing but my friend was telling me he has one for his coilovers but it probably won't fit mine. It's kinda like the tool you use to loosen up a oil filter...? Where can i get this tool if anyone knows what im talking about?

Are you just talking about the hook? Just use a screw driver and a mallet, thats all my friend ever uses and he HAS the tools.

what do you mean hand turning capabilites? i can turn mine up and down till it reaches the ends of the threads.

or maybe you are refering to how the weight on the springs limit to how much you can turn h:

and i dont think GC comes with any other tools other than the allen key. i would do as tx said and use a flathead and a mallet.

I thought GC's were some of the easiest coils to adjust?!?

the allen wrench is the only tool you need to adjust it. assuming you have a hand to turn it.

i never looked back here at this post. except no, dirt will get onto your coilovers in ike a week of having them installed. making it hard to raise or lower your coilovers. The one hand advertisements bs in my opinion. You need someone to step down on your rim to loosen up the coilover from the shock. Once its really loose you can turn it. its easy i guess but you need a friend their unless your ridges on your coilovers are perfectly clean

soak the threads on the coilovers with some sort of lube, wd-40 or something. then try spinning it. If it doesn't work with your hand use your friend's hook thing, they are pretty universal.

No the allen wrench tool does not adjust the height of the coilover. All it does is tighten the perch so it does not slide, adjusting the height itself (although this is pretty impossible, as the weight of the car obviously holds everything in place).

Anyways, I've never seen the GC tool, as mine nor my friends' GC's came with it. I purchased a Gator Grip at Wal-Mart for 9.99, which is very similar to the tool used to tighten/loosen an oil filter. I tightened it around the gold perch, and had my friend hold it (but you could do it all yourself) while I turned the sleeve with a wrench. It worked great and only took a few minutes. I had to do this for all but my rear-right one which for some reason I could turn with my hand...

Good luck!
