Default question on transmission

I was wondering how much of a difference is it to get up to speed in concerning an automatic vs. a manual? I'm having trouble finding a teg manual 95-01 with less than 100k for 10 grand....so i don't know what to do

the manual is marginally faster...but the question is very broad. If you really want a 5 speed, just keep looking.

i mean i do want a 5 speed but there's this nice 99' Integra LS, black, with 50k miles...the only stipulation is that it's an automatic...how much would I be losing if I picked an automatic instead of searching for a manual? It's just a pain in the ass to find a 5-speed where I live (NJ boonies). So any feedback is cool

The B18B doesn't exactly produce enough torque to make it a spirited drive with an Automatic...

Auto integras aren't bad, and are nice cruisers, BUT you shouldn't look for an auto teggy to hit high quarter mile times..

I prefer manual on low displacement engines, but the auto teggy isn't a bad car...

My issue I haven't found any manual tegs with under 100,000 miles, under 11k, year 95-01.... Everything like that is at least 2 hours away and my dad isn't up for driving that far, on top of it if something goes wrong we'd have to drive it down to whereever that is to get it fixed. That's the only reason I'm even CONSIDERING an auto teg. I live in the boonies of NJ so if anyone knows of any good sites to find cars that would be greatly appreciated. I already use carsdirect.com, autotrader.com and that's pretty much it. thanks

WTF? Why would you have to drive far to get it fixed? Are you looking at dealerships or something?

Yes, there aren't any private sellers around here with a good deal to look at. I think my only option is to buy from a dealer due to the lack of integra's around here anyways. I'm pretty clueless and frustrated with what I can do at this point, I just want a 96-01 teg with under 100k miles, under $11k, and 5-spd....

expect an auto to drag compaired to a manual, and run a 1/4 about a second to a second and a half slower.
