swap help
yea im currently driving a 1994 integra gsr and im going to swap in a d16b7 so i can get some respect without vtec. what do i need to convert? do i just disconnect the vtec wires and replace the gsr spindles and hubs with that from a 95 ex? will everything function properly with a p28 ecu or will i get check engine lights? i dont want to be hastled by the cops for a swapped motor.
There is no such thing as a D16B7. It's a D15B7.
OK, you want to take the 70ish horsepower loss to go from a 1.8L DOHC VTEC B18C1 to a 1.5L SOHC non-VTEC D15B7?
I hope this is a joke, because I don't think you'd consider a bunch of people calling you an idiot to be "respect."
To do it you'll need the engine, an 88+ D-series transaxle, D-series axles, and the original 92-95 D-series mounts to mix-match with your original mounts. The P28 will probably run it, but a cheaper P06 would be ideal. I'm probably forgetting a couple things here, but oh well. It's a stupid idea in the first place.

Hell, my Civic is full of D-series parts already.:chuckles:
