5 Speed to Auto?
I just got a new USED car from a private seller for 7200, the specs below:
Year/Make/Model: 1999 ACURA INTEGRA LS
Body Style: HATCHBACK 2 DR
Engine: 1.8L L4 PFI DOHC 16V
Fuel: GASOLINE
Driveline: FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
Manufactured in: JAPAN
It's a 5speed and I was wondering how much would it cost to switch it from a 5 to an Auto because I have a bad knee/surgery. Also, did I get a good deal, it has 65k, it's silver, and new paint job, intake, and new CD Player via Sony. This is my first Acura and it seems to have low power as well. Also, how could I make it faster?

by changing it to auto would kind of defy the point of making it faster, but i can understand your situation. the best thing would probably be turbo or nawz. with an auto the throttle body doesnt close in between gears like it does when u use the clutch. but i must say, i have no idea for the auto tranny, q's usually come up on how to go from auto to 5spd, not the other way around. i hope my little bit of knowledge helped, but if it is in anyway possible, stay with the 5 spd
I couldn't find one of this mileage and/or year via autotrader.com as I was in a hurry to get a new car as a project car to just play with. I saw an Auto, dark green, but it was a rebuild on the engine and had 160k, a new engine at 100k, and never buy rebuilds, as the one I got is stock and in good shape, just not as powerful as I thought. But yeah, that was the only one, as I only had 7500 to spend.
Yeah, I probably will, as my knee is healing, I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago and it's easy to do shifting with pain killers, I mean, I can, as told by my doctor, but it aches after a while and the killers don't work and they make me sick as hell. But most likely I will stick with the manual if I can bare it for just a few more weeks.
