My radiator leaks from the bottom whenever i turn on the heater. When i put the climate to blue(cold) it doesn't leak. Why does this happen, do i need a new radiator?? or can i get something to seal the leak?

 

New radiator. OEM Integra radiators with the plastic end-pieces are prone to leakage. Buy an all aluminum radiator from your local automotive store (I bought mine from NAPA), or purchase a performance radiator, such as Fluidine.

 

Meh... or do what I did. Find a company that would be willing to install the plastic endcap style radiator with a lifetime warranty.... For $95 :exnbp: (I bargained them down)

Though, I think this radiator will only last 5 years or so, but by then I will have either sold the car, or have enough money to go for a nice fluidyne all-aluminum...

And if I don't have enough money then, then I'll just get another free radiator to tide me over for another couple years...

im still poor for a cheap route. the leak is on the bottom at the end of the passenger side; can i just buy some kind of adhesive and seal it up?

 

JB weld could possibly work, but I really doubt it... once the crack is there, it's only a matter of time until the crack goes almost the full length of the radiator... but if you wanna try the cheap route, JB weld seems like you best bet

 

If you're not getting a leak all the time then it's probably not your radiator that is leaking. The problem is most likely in the heater core or its associated plumbing.

And that is exactly what leads me to believe that something is wrong with your heater core or its associated plumbing, rather than the radiator.

 

I agree if it only leaks when the heat is on then its a heater core problem and not radiator. h:

 

Can you visually see the RADIATOR leaking coolant?? The heater core is in the dash i believe, so it would be hard to confuse these two.
