I think only a few people seem to be reading the original post. I have a civic si(2000) with a b16. I want to just pull my trans open and change the diff to a type r diff to get the LSD. That's it. Where you guys got the other stuff is beyond me. Mr.fatbooty is like the only one who's actually answering the question. Anyways, I just want to know if it will work and if anyone's done it.

Hmm.. i'd think a B series diff should bolt on with any other b series tranny?

If your just replacing the diff.. than get a nicer LSD than ITR stock one

I plan to get an LSD when my clutch goes, new CV joints at the same time. Figure I will just run up to El Dorado Hills or Cameron Park, wherever Comptech is. Get the parts and have them do the install. I will have to make it the company car first of course though

If you can't get a deep discount on the factory diff I would look at getting a Quaife instead since it's essentially bulletproof and most everyone is convinced it's the best diff out there.

I hear what you're saying, I haven't priced it yet though. I would like to keep it more factory than aftermarket.

we tried to put a ctr lsd in my friends LS tranny, had problems doing it.

we're not tranny experts so it may of been something we were doing wrong.
